PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it unnecessary to mount the propulsion device with its position shifted up, and furthermore let cavitaion be functinally combined with splashing by the aforesaid device. SOLUTION: The propulsion device 1 for a vessel has an engine 12 disposed at an upper part in the inside of a casing 11, concurrently it is provided with propellers rotated by the power of the engine 12 and a power transmission mechanism 20 transmitting the power of the engine 12 to the propellers at its lower part in the inside of the casing, and is provided with a plate part 26 projected outside at the periphery of the casing 11. |
