摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve treating capability for waste water, to stably control the process and to decrease cost by using a treating material for waste water prepared by depositing effective microorganisms on chips to ferment, decompose and digest org. matter in a waste water. SOLUTION: Coconut chips having a honeycomb structure are used to decrease org. matter in waste water containing org. matter such as waste water from a food factory, from a fish processing factory and from homes. In this method, coconut chips are subjected to acid or alkali treatment or washed with water to obtain stable chips, and granulated into about 3.0 to 30.0mm grain size or prepared as coconut fibers so as to prevent slogging by SS in the waste water. Then effective microorganisms is held on the chips. These effective microorganisms are, for example, lactic acid bacterium, photosynthetic bacterium, yeasts, fermenting mold, gum-positive actinomycetes and the amt. of the microorganisms is specified to 0.00005 to 0.0005 vol.pt. based on 1 vol.pt. of the liquid to be treated and 2 to 10 vol.pts. of coconut chips.</p>
