<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give aptitude for a retort and a microwave oven, to make opening easy, and to improve a gas barrier property by a method in which the surface layer of a container is formed from a liquid crystalline polymer, a flange seal layer and an inner surface layer are formed from polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene terephthalate, or polycarbonate. SOLUTION: A gas barrier container 1 is composed of a liquid crystalline polymer layer 12 having a good gas barrier property and a sealing resin layer 11 for giving a sealing property to the liquid crystalline polymer. In other words, the seal layer and inner surface layer of a flange 13 is formed from polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene terephthalate(PBT) or polycarbonate. In molding the container 1, a PBT container 11a which was prepared in advance by sheet molding is set in the male mold 15 of an injection molding machine, the mold is clamped, the liquid crystalline polymer is injected from an injection nozzle fixed on the side of a female mold 16, and an injection molded container consisting of the liquid crystalline polymer layer 12 and the PBT layer 11 is manufactured.</p> |
