POROUS PLASTIC BEARING AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate abrasion and seizure and to make lightweight and maintenance-free by specifying the porosity of the aggregate of plastic particles in which the volume of one particle is specified and making liquid lubricating oil penetrate into the void of a slide bearing which is formed and sintered. SOLUTION: A porous plastic slide bearing 2 which pivots a shaft 1 freely rotatably is a sintered aggreagate of plastic particles 3, and liquid lubricating oil 4 passes through pores 3a between the particles 3 to ooze from the pores 3a to the inner surface of the bearing 2. Besides, the bearing 2 is formed by a process in which the aggregate of plastic particles 3 in which the volume of one particle is 0.004-4mm<2> and which has porosity of 10-30% is sintered. In the bearing 2, the plastic particles are arranged in the width direction and in the radial direction.
