PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To photograph even a subject illuminated with an artificial light source with appropriate balance by correcting color balance on a photographic print based on a visual light component and an infrared ray component. SOLUTION: The off-timing of a release switch 24 is detected by a CPU 10 so as to obtain the object distance by an autofocusing (AF) part 20. By comparing output from an infrared photometry part 12 with output from a visible light photometry part 14, the CPU 10 decides whether or not light projection by a stroboscope part 18 is required as auxiliary exposure. After focusing is performed by a focusing part 22 according to the obtained subject distance, the light projection is performed in the case the light projection by the stroboscope part 18 is required, and also exposure operation is performed by using an exposure control part 16. At such a time, the CPU 10 compares output from the photometry part 12 with that from the photometry part 14 and performs the control of the light projection by the stroboscope part 18, the write of color correction information and the adjustment of an automatic white balance device, in the case of the electronic camera, as processing for correcting the color balance. |
