A groutable rock anchor comprises an elongate tendon with proximal and distal ends. The distal end of the tendon is locatable in a borehole with the proximal end of the tendon projecting outwardly from it. The tendon has an enlarged portion extending over a portion of its length closest to the distal end of the tendon. The enlarged portion is settable in the borehole by means of a grout mixture. The proximal end of the tendon is threaded to enable the tendon to be tensioned by means of a nut and base plate arrangement. |
