<p>A process for the production of synthetic silica glass powder by firing a powder of silica gel obtained by the hydrolysis of an alkoxysilane, characterized by using a reactor fitted with a mechanical agitator in its inside in the hydrolysis/gelation step and beginning steady agitation of the contents of the reactor after the completion of charging of at least the alkoxysilane and water into the reactor.</p> |
