SHRINKABLE TUBE, ITS MANUFACTURE, AND METHOD FOR FORMING CONNECTING SECTION OF POWER CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the end section of a power cable from bending backward by using a shrinkable tube which shrinks when heated. SOLUTION: A shrinkable tube 16 in which the inner layer side 16d is crosslinked at a height which is equal to or higher than that of an outer layer side 16c near its end section is put on the connecting section of a power cable 1 and the outside 16a of the end section of the tube 16 is chamfered in a tapered or curved state. Since the inner layer side 16d is sufficiently crosslinked, such a connecting section that does not allow the end section of the cable 1 to bend backward is obtained.
