PURPOSE:To produce an alkali-soluble split type conjugated fiber using a polymer having a proper melt-viscosity as the dissolving component, prolonged the life of a spinneret pack during the spinning process and having an extremely high alkali-dissolving rate. CONSTITUTION:When the split type conjugated fiber having the cross section in which at least two components having different dissolution rates, respectively, are joined to each other and in which a component is divided with the other component B into plural portions is produced by a melt-spinning method, a polyethylene terephthalate copolymerized by 1.5-2.5mol.% of sodium 5- sulfoisophthalic acid, 1.5-2.5mol.% of potassium 5sulfoisophthalic acid and polyethylene glycol is employed as the component A to be dissolved out. |
