LIGHT EMITTING DIODE FOR LINEAR LIGHT SOURCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the light emitting diode for a linear light source in which a luminous quantity of a green light is increased in the lengthwise direction with well balance even when an output of a light emitting element of the green color is low. SOLUTION: The diode is provided with a linear light emitting element group 11 in which light emitting elements 11a, 11b, 11c are arranged on a line while directing the light emitting face is directed in the same direction and a reflecting face 14 provided opposite to the light emitting face of the linear light emitting element group 11. The light emitting element 11a uses a GaAlAs and emits a red light. The light emitting element 11b uses a GaP and emits a yellow green light. The light emitting element 11c uses a GaN and emits a blue light. The light emitting elements 11b are arranged at an interval of one element and the light emitting elements 11a, 11c are arranged at an interval of three elements.
