<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape recorder capable of surely program searching. SOLUTION: When the unrecorded part is detected in the state a tape is run in the 1st direction by a tape running means such as a motor 12, etc., the tape T is run in the 2nd direction after the running is stopped, and when the unrecorded part is detected in the state run in the 2nd direction, the running is stopped and again the tape is run in the 1st direction. Since the running of tape is stopped when the unrecorded part is detected in the state the tape T is run in the 2nd direction, the variance against the last part of the recorded part is reduced as compared with the case the running of tape is stopped after the lapse of a prescribed time like in the conventional practice. Since the muting is carried out by a muting means until the unrecorded part is detected in the state the tape is being run again in the 1st direction, the reproduction is made surely from the start of the program searching even though the repeated 1st running state begins from the start or the end part of the recorded part.</p> |
