TRANSMISSION LINE DRIVING CIRCUIT, OUTPUT DRIVER CIRCUIT AND ATM-LAN ADAPTER CARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a driver circuit to be utilized for a physical layer interface for ATM-LAN perform a low voltage operation. SOLUTION: A driver circuit (50) for transmission includes the CMOS output stages (51, 52) composed of first and second pairs in which PMOS transistors and NMOS transistors are serially connected. The source of the PMOS transistor and the source of the NMOS transistor are coupled with power source voltage (Vdd) and ground potential (Vss), respectively. The common drain of the MOS transistor composing the first pair and the common drain of the MOS transistor composing the second pair are coupled with one transmission terminal (TxA) and the other transmission terminal (TxB), respectively. The first pair and the second pair of the CMOS output stage are made to perform pushpull operations in the opposite phase with each other.
