Cooling device for an electric motor (1) intended for driving a propeller mixer for liquids or a rotating pump impeller. Motor (1) is normally surrounded by the treated pumped liquid. Cooling device consists of a cooling jacket that entirely or partly surrounds motor (1). Jacket (5) has inlet (9) and outlet (10) for cooling medium. Jacket (5) concentrically surrounds the mantle surface (4) of motor (1). Jacket (5) has an axially directed cylindrical partition wall (6) that divides the jacket (5) into two concentric gaps (7,8). Inner gap (7) is connected to cooling liquid inlet (9) and has a width of at most 50% of the outer gap (8). Gap (8) is connected to the cooling water outlet (10). |
