<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treating device which is adequate for landscape ponds, artificial ponds of parks featuring water, water channels, etc. is highly safe, is simple in construction, has good water treatment efficiency and does not require the supply of high energy and laborious maintenance. SOLUTION: This water treating device 10 has water channels 16 having differences in height and a pump 18 for feeding the water discharged from a drain port 14 in the low part to a water supply port 12 of the high part of the water channels 16 to circulate the water. Gravel 22 deposited with titanium oxide having a photocatalyst function on the surfaces are arranged on the bottoms of the water channels 16 and light condensing plates 14 for reflecting and condensing the sunshine to the titanium oxide are arranged near the water channels 16. The water channels 16 constitute multistage water channels segmented by water level adjusting weirs 26. Black lights 28 which are supplied with the energy from solar batteries 32 arranged near the water channels and irradiate the gravel 22 deposited with the titanium oxide with UV rays are embedded and installed in the bottoms of the water channels 16.</p> |
