<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a soil conditioner which does not emit odor even when mixed into soil having a high water content and can solidify in a short time by compounding a solidifying component contg. anhydrous gypsum, bentonite, silicon dioxide, etc. with a specific solidification accelerator component. SOLUTION: This soil conditioner is prepd. by compounding a solidifying component comprising anhydrous gypsum and/or calcined gypsum, bentonite and/or polyacrylamide and/or fly ash, and silicone dioxide with a solidification accelerator component comprising sodium hydrogensulfate and/or potassium hydrogensulfate and an aluminum compd. (e.g. aluminum alum). When the conditioner further contains a chelate compd., it converts heavy metal ions present in soil into insol. forms and can prevent the dissolution of the ions. Examplas of the chelate compd. are ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and trisodium hydroxyethyldiaminetetraacetate. The conditioner in an amt. of 3-60wt.% is mixed into soil to improve it.</p> |
