The fishing fly consists of a single hook (2), which consists of a hook (6), with a point (7) at one end, with the other end extended to form a shaft (9), with an eyelet (10), formed at the front end for attachment to the fishing line. An assembly of natural or synthetic materials is mounted on the shaft to form the body (3), the legs (4) and the wings (5) of the fly. The shaft is formed in two linear sections (9A & 9B), joined together at an elbow (12). The first linear part (9A) of the shaft is formed between the hook and the elbow and is longer than the second linear section (9B). The two parts of the shaft form an obtuse angle at the elbow, and the open side of the angle is on the side of the shaft opposite the point of the hook.
