The static field is given a voltage of up to 60 000 volts. The water current is fed to a vertically flowing flue gas current after it has passed the static field. The device incorporates a feed conduit (1) for the flue gases, components (2) connected to a voltage source (3) for producing a static electrical field in the feed conduit, a sepg. conduit (5) connecting to the feed conduit, and a component for feeding water with zero potential in the sepg. conduit. The components (2) for producing an electrical field consists of an electrode bridge. The sepg. conduit (5) is vertical and in its bottom part has a sump (6) for collection of water, fed to the sepg. conduit. The water collected in the sump is at least partially fed back to the upper parts of the sepg. conduit (5). The component for providing water in the sump does so at zero or earth potential. |
