<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a pipe member usable not only in a configuration in which it passes through a fire-limit passing part but also as a joint, convenient to use, and easy to handle and construct and to reduce its cost as a member for construction. SOLUTION: This joint 1 is designed to be placed in a through hole F1 in a pipeline, which is bored in a fire-limit passing part A in such a way as to connect a pipeline member P made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin. In this case, the joint 1 has an outer cover layer 30 made of a nonmetallic, incombustible material, and a fire-resistant, thermally expanding member 45 which is expanded by the heat of fires to close the pipeline to keep the fires from spreading is mounted on a connecting end 15 into which the pipeline member P is fitted. This fire protection fitting for the fire-limit passing part A adapted for the pipeline member P made of the thermoplastic synthetic resin has the outer cover layer 30 made of the nonmetallic, incombustible material, and has a connecting hole into which the pipeline member P is fitted, and the fire- resistant, thermally-expanding member which is expanded by the heat of fires to close the pipeline to keep the fires from spreading is mounted around the connecting hole.</p> |
