PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hollow molding material capable of simultaneously satisfying impact resistance, mechanical characteristics and thermal characteristics and useful as a chemical container by adding a specific polyalkylene oxide, utilizing anion polymerization ofω-lactam. SOLUTION: Anion polymerization of (B)ω-lactam (e.g. caprolactam) is carried out in the presence of a polyalkylene oxide derivative to which >=3 alkylene oxide structures and/or polyalkylene oxide structures are bound through polyvalent hydrocarbon groups (A). Furthermore, an anion polymerization catalyst such as a Grignard reagent is preferably used for the reaction and e.g. a derivative of the formula [R<1> is an organic group having a (poly)alkylene oxide structure; R<2> is H or a 1-20C hydrocarbon; (m) is 3 or 4] is preferably used as the component A.
