<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of the corrosion and offensive odor of a facility, increase the concentration of sludge, and monitor the putrefaction situation of the sludge by sterilizing anaerobic bacteria which are the main cause of the putrefaction of the sludge. SOLUTION: A method for ozone treatment in which part of liquid which was ozone-treated already in an ozone treatment reaction vessel 1 is extracted and sent to a light intensity measuring instrument 5, using the measured light intensity as an index, the effect for sterilizing anaerobic bacteria which are the main cause of the putrefaction of sludge and the amount of ozone to be injected necessary to prevent the corrosion and offensive odor of a facility are operated by a controller 6, and the drive of an ozone generator 3 is controlled on the basis of the output of the controller and an apparatus for the method are provided. Especially, in order to control the production of hydrogen sulfide gas from sulfate reducing bacteria, which are anaerobic bacteria, ozone treatment is done so that the tristimulus values Y of light are 50 or more. The number of sulfate reducing bacteria is estimated from the measured tristimulus stimulus values Y of light to conduct monitoring.</p> |
