IC CARD READING/WRITING DEVICE AND IC CARD SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the cost of the construction of an IC card system by making an IC(integrated circuit) card reading/writing device have the both functions of an intelligent function and a passthrough function and performing the reading/writing of the IC card by either one of the both functions. SOLUTION: This device 2 is provided with an IC card reading/writing control part 21 having an intelligent function 212 performing the control for the reading/writing of an IC card 1 by the application part 211 that the device itself possesses. The IC card reading/writing control part 21 is provided with a passthrough function 213 performing the control for the reading/writing of the IC card by the application part 31 of a host device 3 for IC card reading/ writing device by receiving the pass-through command from the device 3 in addition to the intelligent function 212.
