PURPOSE:To avoid any thickening of understeering characteristics at time of turning motion by steering a rear wheel in the same phase with a front wheel when a steering angle out of a neutral position is in a small range and, after a steered variable in the same phase direction of the rear wheel is reached to the maximum value, decreasing it suddenly. CONSTITUTION:Rotation of a steering wheel 2 is transmitted to a cam plate 11 via a transmission shaft 8, this cam plate rotates as far as the specified angle, pressing either of symmetrical cam followers 12 by a cam surface, and a slide bar 13 is moved in the car width direction, then it is transmitted to a rear wheel 9 via a tie rod 16 and a knuckle arm 17, thus the rear wheel 9 is steered in the specified direction. When the rear wheel 9 is steered in the same phase, a first cam surface 18 is formed so as to enlarge a decrement rate when the steered variable is decreased from the maximum value. |
