摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect its length in connecting a cable by providing an electric identification means for identifying the length in a cable for connecting a magnetic bearing main body and a controller. SOLUTION: One 15 of connectors of a cable 3 and the other connector 16 are connected to a connector 11 of a magnetic bearing main body l and a connector 19 of a controller 2 respectively. Two identification contacts 20 are provided in the connector 16 besides a wiring connector 20 and a resistor 21 is connected between them. This resistor 21 constitutes an electric identification means for identifying the length of the cable 3. The controller 2 stores constants for a multiple sets of controls matched with the length of the cable 3, for example, a resistance value of the resistor 21 of the cable 3 is detected in starting of the magnetic bearing device so as to identify the length of the cable 3, and constants matched with it, for example, gain and offset quantities, are automatically selected and set. The magnetic bearing main body is thus controlled by using this constant.</p>
