The supply system comprises an intermittent pump (10) which is positioned between an inlet (2,3) for connecting a storage container (4,5), and an outlet (6) for connecting at least one consumer (8). A two-point regulator (42) maintains the initial pressure, obtained by a pressure sensor (39), constant by operating a switch in the form of an on-off valve (18) to switching the pump on and off. A signal transmitter (44) emits a signal denoting an empty storage container, when the period in which the pump is switched on exceeds a pre set threshold value.
