PURPOSE: To obtain an electrostatic latent image developing device in which the miniaturization of the entire device and improvements in handlability and durability are achieved and, in addition, image stability is satisfactorily maintained. CONSTITUTION: The electrostatic latent image developing device develops an electrostatic latent image, formed on a latent image carrier 16, with toner sticking to the surface of a magnetic brush 14, by means of a toner supply roller 24 which carries the toner to the magnetic brush 14 while holding it thereon. In the developing device, the toner supply roller 24 has a toner carrying part 24a, a roughened part, in the middle of its external surface; and a toner seal part 24b, a mirror part, continuing from each end of the toner carrying part 24a. Also, a toner layer regulation blade 26, which subjects the toner on the toner carrying part 24a to triboelectrification and also scrapes off the toner on the toner seal parts 24b, is so arranged as to be in press-contact with both the toner carrying part 24a and toner seal parts 24b. |
