PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with various kinds of paper sheets and prevent the danger of an auxiliary guide to a user by attaching a guide plate housed in the inner side of a frame part and moved so as to be extended from the frame part to the outside according to the size of a medium to a frame via a ratchet mechanism so as to be rotated. SOLUTION: A ratchet 46a is attached to a rotational center axis 45 as the rotational center 44 of a belt-like guide plate 4, a fixed ratchet 46b is pressed to a frame 43 via a spring 47 and when the guide plate 41 is rotated, the plate is stopped in stages. Thus, the guide plate 41 is rotated from the position of its being housed in the frame 43 through a middle inclined position to an extended position and the guide plate is stopped in an optional position. A sub-guide 42 is constructed in such a manner that both ends of a U-shaped wire are projected outward on one axis and fitted in the holes of the tip part of the guide plate 41 and by rotating the sub-guide 42 around both ends, an extended position farther away from the guide plate 41 is taken.
