摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a frictional member comprising the belt of a stepless transmission from slipping or being shocked due to speed change so as to prevent the deterioration in durability of the transmission by providing a spin detecting means to detect the idle of a drive wheel and forming it so that it suppresses the control in the direction of reducing a gear ratio when a spin is detected. SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission changes a gear ratio by moving the movable cone plate of a drive pulley 16 and the movable cone plate of a driven pulley 26 so as to change a radius at the position of contact with a V-belt 24. In this speed change control, it is detected by an ECU 103 from, for example, a rotating speed difference between a drive wheel and a non-drive wheel whether any spin occurs or not on the drive wheel. When the spin occurs, an up-shift prohibition command is generated. Also, when an accelerator pedal is depressed with the gear ratio fixed and an engine speed exceeds a specified limit, the gear ratio is allowed to be up-shifted. In addition, when a throttle opening is reduced, the fixing of the gear ratio is released so as to recover it to a control at a normal gear ratio.
