<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image excellent in water resistance and light resistance by blending a specified water-insoluble resin with a recording liquid which is delivered on a recording medium to effect recording. SOLUTION: The specified water-insoluble resin comprises a [2- hydroxy-4-(methacryloyloxyethoxy)benzophenone]/methyl methacrylate copolymer represented by formula I. This resin is used singly or together with other resin compatible therewith (e.g. an acrylic resin). Water or a water-soluble organic solvent (e.g. methanol) is used for dilution. The resin is used in a concentration of about 3%. The figure shows the rough cross section of a principal part, illustrating an example of constitution of a printer. A container 4 for holding a diluent has a hollow part 6, with an opening 6a connected to a diluent supply port 21 on an orifice plate 1. A container 5 for holding an ink has a hollow part 7 as well, with an opening 7a connected to an ink supply port 22. The containers 4,5 are provided with piezoelectric elements 31, 32 each of which serves to deform the container by a signal to thereby change the pressure in the container.</p> |
