PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously improve the transparency and tear strength of a film based on a high density polyethylene resin. SOLUTION: A compsn. prepared by compounding 10-30 pts.wt. of branched chain low density polyethylene with density of 0.93g/cm<3> or less and an MI of 3g/10min or less and 10-30 pts.wt. of linear low density polyethylene with density of 0.93g/cm<3> or less and an MI of 3g/10min or less with 50-80 pts.wt. of high density polyethylene with density of 0.94g/cm<3> or more and an MI of 1g/10min or less is subjected to inflation molding under a condition wherein a cooling speed indexτrepresented by formula (I) [wherein FLH is frost line height (cm), V1 is a taking-over speed (cm/sec) and V0 is a melt speed (cm/sec) of a die outlet] is 4 or less.
