PURPOSE:To control with the proper acceleration pattern in response to the driving skill, traveling condition, etc., by storing multiple acceleration patterns in a driving characteristic target value generator and selectively outputting them. CONSTITUTION:One model in response to the driving state is selected among linear models of an engine 6, and the linear model is modified based on the deviation with the value delayed by the wasteful time factor 7 on the estimated value obtained from the linear model 1. Multiple acceleration patterns are stored in a standard acceleration pattern memory unit 4, one acceleration pattern is selected and outputted by a target value generator 3 in response to the driving state. The estimated quantity of the state variable is determined by a state observing unit 2, and the optimum control value is outputted from a control unit 5 based on it. |
