<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the dimension of paper in a paper feeding cassette by one detection sensor and reduce restrictions on layout and cost. SOLUTION: A detection sensor 3 is provided at a position which corresponds to a section which paper of various size which are put on a paper feeding cassette 2 occupy in common. The paper feeding cassette 2 is provided with a region 4 for detecting the dimension of paper in a slide direction 8 when it is mounted and dismounted on a picture image forming device main body and a pattern member 6 having a pattern which detects the dimension of paper in a paper passing direction 9 in the interlocking relationship with a rear end setting member 5 which positions paper to be stored on a paper rear end side in the paper passing direction 9 from the paper feeding cassette 2 into the picture image forming device main body. Paper size and the presence of paper are detected due to opening 4 of the region 4 and output pattern of the detection sensor 3 due to a non-reflection part and opening of the pattern member 6.</p> |
