DEODORIZING AND DUST COLLECTING APPARATUS FOR TOILET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing and dust collecting apparatus not generating the lowering of deodorizing capacity and not requiring the replacement of a deodorant even if sucking tobacco smoke and also having dust collection function. SOLUTION: Air streams containing a malodorous component and particles of a pollutant pass through a tank 3 and an overflow pipe 23 from a toilet tank by a blower 27 to flow in an air cleaning chamber 19 to be revolved within a gap 47. The malodorous component is carried toward water 51 by the ion wind generated toward the water by the corona discharge between discharge electrodes 25 and the water 51 and dissolved in the water 51 to be deodorized. The malodorous component is discharged by corona discharge and also deodorized by decomposing the gas molecules of the malodorous component by the collision of electrons obtaining discharge energy with the gas molecules of the malodorous component. The particles of the pollutant become charged particles by corona discharge and are bonded to the surface of the water 51 by a discharge electric field and the ion wind to be dissolved in the water to be prevented from again scattering into air. The air streams after cleaning are discharged from an exhaust port 29. The water 51 contaminated with the malodor component or particles is automatically replaced with new water discharged from a hand washing water cock 39 at each time when a toilet is used.
