The optical fibre cable comprises several optical micro-modules (20) associated with a micro-reinforcement (30). These are enclosed by a binding (40) made of flexible material, wrapped around the entire structure of fibre modules and reinforcing modules. The fibre modules and the reinforcing modules may be aligned with their axes co-planar, but are such that they may be separated by the installer so that individual fibres modules may be taken to specific destinations. The binding material has a Young's modulus of between several MPa and several hundred MPa within a temperature range of -30 deg. C to +70 deg. C. The binding is between tens and hundreds of micrometres in thickness.
