WATER LEAK DETECTING AND SHUT-OFF SYSTEM

A system for minimizing water leaks comprises open circuited probes placed in areas of potential leakage. If one of the probes is immersed in water, it short circuits which results in a valve controller for a solenoid valve interposed in a water main acting to close the valve. Short circuiting the probe may also activate an alarm.
