PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disable reception at CATV terminal equipment when data are different by periodically picking up data in the storage part of CATV terminal equipment and comparing them with transmitted data. SOLUTION: A CATV station 1 periodically picks up the stored data in the storage part of CATV terminal equipment 3 and compares them with subscriber's data stored in a head end part 4. Then, when both the data are different, it is judged that the data in the storage part are reloaded on the subscriber side and wiretapping is performed, the reception of all channels of the terminal equipment 3 for the subscriber, who performs wiretapping, is disabled and a caution message is still displayed through the terminal equipment 3 of that subscriber onto a television receiver for preventing wiretapping. When wiretapping is still continued, however, broadcasting to the subscriber connected to a repeater 9 during CATV broadcasting is stopped, and a wiretapping preventing function is improved. Therefore, even when the data in the storage part are reloaded for wiretapping, the wiretapping of a pay program is prevented. |
