PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angular velocity sensor having a fault-diagnosing function. SOLUTION: In the angular velocity sensor comprising a driving means for stably driving a vibrating unit of a sensor element having the vibrating unit and sensing elements 13, 14 for detecting angular velocity, and a sensing means for detecting the velocity from the elements 13, 14 of the sensor element, the signal synchronized with the drive signal of the driving means is electrically applied to the previous state from a synchronous detector 22 for constituting the sensing means to obtain a self-diagnosing signal at the time of a fault. |
