FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing a catalyst based on copper and nickel oxides and hydroxides, deposited on solid solution of cadmium and zinc sulphides, used mostly as a photocatalyst for processes of photocatalytic extraction of hydrogen from aqueous solutions of NaS/NaSOunder action of visible radiation. Method of producing composite photocatalyst comprises application of hydroxides of transition metals onto a solid solution of cadmium and zinc sulphides CdZnS, followed by drying.
