PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image encoding device and an image decoding device with which encoding/decoding processing can be performed at high speed with less memories. SOLUTION: Two encoders 104 and 105 are prepared for dividing an inputted image into at least two areas and simultaneously encoding more than two pieces of image data among these divided images respectively. Then, the encoding image data are temporarily stored in buffer memories 106 and 107 and the encoded outputs from these buffer memories 106 and 107 are alternately outputted and collected as one code for every fixed quantity determined in advance, so that processing can be accelerated. |
