ANTIMICROBIAL CONCRETE COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial concrete composition esp. effective for the mildew proofing or termite proofing of the foundation or dampish northward outer wall of buildings, by incorporating a concrete material with a phenolic halide. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial concrete composition comprises a concrete material containing cement and a phenolic halide (pref. phenolic trihalide, more pref. alkali metal salt thereof, esp. 4-bromo-2,5-dichlorophenol sodium salt). This composition is obtained by kneading an aqueous solution of the phenolic halide with the concrete material.
