LASER LIGHT EMITTING EQUIPMENT USING SEMICONDUCTOR LASER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize an optical output in a solid laser light emitting equipment. SOLUTION: Laser is oscillated from a solid laser crystal 4 with a stimulation light outputted from a semiconductor laser 2 which is used as a stimulation light source. The semiconductor laser 2 has a wide stripe structure of at least 30μm width performs transverse multimode oscillation, and has a refractive index waveguide structure wherein an uneven surface having unevenness in a waveguide direction is formed in at least a part of a side surface of the stripe structure. The fundamental wave from the solid laser is subjected to wavelength conversion by a wavelength converting element 5, and an SHG light (blue laser) is outputted.
