<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for providing a plurality of routes wherein one of the plurality of routes can be selected and also information required by a user for selecting it can be provided. SOLUTION: Lines 22, 23 correspond to recommended routes, which have been produced by combining sectioned routes 26 to 31 grouped into road types in a sequence according to a travel sequence of an automobile in a ratio according to an actual distance ratio. The lines 22, 23 are colored in different colors for each of the sectioned routes 26 to 31. Names of roads included in the recommended routes are displayed below the lines 22, 23. Icons 32, 33 representing landscape in the vicinity of the recommended routes are displayed above the lines 22, 23. Thus a summary of the recommended routes is displayed, thereby providing necessary information for selecting one of the recommended routes. Therefore a user can easily select a desired recommended route.</p> |
