PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately test the drug sensitivity of even anaerobic or slightly aerobic microbe independent of pH by keeping a microorganism specimen in a medium, culturing the microorganism while preventing the convection of the medium and observing the proliferation state of the microorganism. SOLUTION: The drug sensitivity of even anaerobic or slightly aerobic microbe is tested by a method capable of easily and accurately getting the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) by preculturing a testing microorganism in a microbial specimen, adding the specimen to a semifluid medium containing agar in an amount of 0.05-1.0% as a gelling agent containing the drug for testing the sensitivity or adding the precultured microorganism together with the medium to a preparatorily provided medium container containing a prescribed amount of the drug for testing the sensitivity, keeping the microorganism in the medium, subjecting the microorganism to aerobic culture under a condition essentially not to cause the convection flow of the medium and observing the proliferation state of the microorganism at a part shielded from the outer environment with the medium. |
