An induction heating device (1) includes a housing (2) having a transit opening (3) for the material to be heated which housing is magnetically coupled with at least one laminated iron core (8) carrying a winding (9) consisting of a hollow conductor through which a cooling liquid can be circulated by a pump (15) to a heat exchanger (16).
