PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse flow prevention apparatus excellent in a valve opening response of a check valve upon hot water pouring from the hot water supply side into the bathtub. SOLUTION: A valve hole passage 24 is provided on the upper side of a check valve containment chamber. An air intake valve hole 41 is provided in a bottom wall of the check valve containment chamber, and an outlet passage 45 is provided on a side part of the check valve containment chamber. In the check valve containment chamber there are contained a check valve 26 for opening and closing the valve hole passage 24 and an atmosphere release valve 42 for opening and closing an atmosphere valve hole 41. The check valve 26 and the atmosphere release valve 42 are coupled, and hence opening/closing operation of the check valve 26 and opening/closing operation of the atmosphere release valve 42 are interlocked. A conical part 29 of a tapered spreading-out conical shape is provided on the upper side of a valve body 28. A sealing member 30 is mounted on the root of the conical part 29. In the state where the sealing member 30 closes a check valve seat 31, the conical part 29 is inserted into the valve hole passage 24. The outlet passage 45 is formed below a closing operation position of the atmosphere release valve 42. |
