PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cesium lithium borate crystal suppressed in deterioration and in the generation of cracks and improved in the uniformity of refractive index, etc., by annealing a cesium lithium borate crystal having a specific composition or placing the crystal in an annealing state. SOLUTION: This cesium lithium borate crystal is produced by annealing a cesium lithium borate crystal having a composition of formula I M is at least one or more kinds of alkali metals except Cs and Li; 0<=1[(x)+(y)]<2; 0<=(x)<1; 0<=(y)<1} or formula II [L is at least one kind of alkaline earth metal; 0<(z)<1] or placing cesium lithium borate crystal in an annealing state. The annealing treatment is generally carried out at a temperature of >=100 deg.C, preferably at >=150 deg.C. The obtained cesium lithium borate crystal is useful as a wavelength conversion nonlinear optical crystal, etc., for a laser-oscillating device, etc. |
