A method of synthesising hybrid molecules, comprising condensing at least two segments belonging to different chemical species, where the hybrid molecules are produced by a prokaryotic or eukaryotic cell containing at least one nucleotide sequence specifying at least one enzymatic activity, such as acyl transferase activity, which condenses the chemical species.
