End cap for pipes and manifolds, especially in heat exchangers

The cap is used on the end of a heating or cooling pipe (4) or manifold, and is made from a synthetic material. It has one or two welding surfaces (6), of which two form a base surface. The side (1) of the cap which faces away from the base surface has an internal profile (2) for shape-mating purposes. The profile may be multi-sided, and may have an additional groove (3). The cap may not exceed the external diameter of the pipe or manifold, and its axis of symmetry may lie on the same line as that of the profile. A handle may also be arranged on the side of the cap which faces away from the base surface.
