<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve intake efficiency in the wide rotational range of an engine, and arrange a piping in a compact size by providing an air cleaner and a surge tank in a multiple cylinder in-line engine on one side of the intake port side arranged in series in a cylinder, and providing a bending part on the other side arranged in series in the cylinder of an intake pipe. SOLUTION: A surge tank 30 and an intake port 14 are connected to the intake pipe 28 of a six cylinder engine. An intake control valve 32 is arranged in the serge tank 30, by closing the intake control valve 32 the inside of the surge tank 30 is divided into two chambers 34, 36. An intake pipe 46 is provided on the upper part of a cylinder head cover 12, and the surge tank 30 and an air cleaner are communicated with each other. A throttle valve 52 is arranged in the intake pipe 46, the downstream of the throttle valve 52 is divided into two intake pipes 47a, 47b, and each intake pipes 47a, 47b are communicated with respective chambers 36, 34. A bending part is set in each of intake pipes 47a, 47b, and the surge tank 30 and the air cleaner 48 are communicated with each other through the bending part.</p> |
