摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method by a vibrating cutting tool which can perform efficient processing of cutting chips by breaking or dividing thereof and suppressing of deterioration of finish surface roughness and increase of cutting resistance of a workpiece. SOLUTION: A rotation frequency of a workpiece W is assumed as T, a vibration frequency of a cutting edge 2 is assumed as ttotal and in the vibration frequency of this cutting edge 2, assuming td for time from a position A deflected to the most rearward side of a feed direction F leading to a position B deflected to the rearmost side of the feed direction F of a locus L of the cutting edge 2, and assuming tu for time from the position B deflected to the most rearward side of the feed direction F next leading to the position A deflected to the most side of the feed direction F, vibration of the cutting edge 2 is controlled so as to obtain a relation T≈ttotal×n+td (where n is 0 or positive integer) and td≠tu .</p>
