<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent public nuisance in the environment of a traveling body and, at the same time, to prolong the service life of the traveling body and improve the ability of the traveling body, and to reduce the noise and abrasion of the traveling body due to friction, etc., during running, by arranging a solid lubricant around the outer peripheries of wheels and lubricating the contact surfaces between spots which become the running surface of the wheels and on the opposite side of the wheels of the traveling body. SOLUTION: The flanges 1a and 1b of a rail 1 are lubricated with a solid lubricant 12a by utilizing the centrifugal forces generated by the rotations of wheels 5A, 5B, 6A, and 6B, the frictional heat which is generated from the contact surfaces of the wheels 5A, 5B, 6A, and 6B with the flanges 1a and 1b of the rail 1 when the wheels 5A, 5B, 6A, and 6B run on the rail 1, and the pressure generated by the masses of the wheels including a traveling body 3, etc. Therefore, the friction resistances and losses on the contact surfaces of the wheels 5A, 5B, 6A, and 6B with the flanges 1a and 1b of the rail 1 can be reduced. When the frictional resistances are reduced, the running sounds generated by the friction can e reduced and, the thrust of the traveling body is improved, because the thrust loss is small. In addition, the abrasion of the contact surfaces can be reduced, because the friction resistance is small.</p> |
